Yes! I have suffered the same symptoms. Often you feel as if you're dying which increases the panic/anxiety attacks. I went to an anxiety management group which made me aware just how common anxiety really is. As cliche as it sounds, slow deep breathing really does help. The trick is, to practice a relaation technique when you're calm, so that it comes to you easier when you're panicking. Also, if you feel like an attack is coming on, try to start your technique before it peaks. Maybe you could find out from your local community/health center if they have any similar programs available. I was getting horrible attacks for no appropriate reason. Totally overactive responses to situations which would leave me dizzy, sweating, hyperventilating, shaking and filled with a scary kind of rage. I've since started taking a low 20mg dose of Aropax and it has completely subsided! True, I was quite sleepy for the first 2 weeks on the meds, but it was simply a temporary side affect as my Doc informed me. Sure, get yourself checked over completely, see a shrink if necessary but I tell you, this medication has been my saviour with no long term side affects. Now I can look after my daughter without freaking her out with my attacks. Good luck and remember - you're not alone!

I had precisely the same symptoms. My doc prescribed Xanax for the short-term solution, and then I used meditation and breathing exercises to teach myself how to keep it from coming back.

hi kim, I get the same thing. they call it derealization. where you feel so lightheaded. I feel like I am looking through the bottom of a glass coke bottle. like I am like jello, loght headed, tension headaches, dizziness. They all seem to go hand in hand. the more I think of things the more the feeling intensifies. I just purchased the linden method, waiting for it to come in the mail. At this point, I am willing to try anything, and I dont care how much it is as long as it works. I need to feel strong for my babies. This is making me miserable. I get the tingly feeling too. it is very stressful. they say that sleep will help. I dont get much of that, my kids were never really good sleepers. plus I am always researching stuff on the internet. This is taking over my life...

Hi Kim,  I would get a second opinion also.   I have these symptoms and they are related to either migraines or allergies that I have year round.   Definitely get more help if it's affecting how you are with your kids.  Take care.

HI Kim,

I use yoga.  Breathing technics and just all around yoga practice.  If you are strong, then handstands are very helpful, although not to be used while dizzy and tingly and head burning.  Perhaps just noticing before it becomes full blown and you are getting anxious.  Also, backbends help.  If you have never practiced yoga, there are some great videos available to help.  Anxiety can be debilitating.  I used to be afraid to go out of my house because I didn't want to run into someone and have a panic attack.  It was very difficult then.  I needed a lot of face to face personal support.  I joined a support group where I could talk things over with people and that helped as well.  Best Wishes! Liz

You are not alone. As everyone else has said, everyone's symptoms are different and medication is nothing to be embarassed about. Once I started going to a therapist and taking the medication, my family and my own quality of life has increased beyond comprehension...hang in there!

sounds like depression.  Did your doctor prescribe anything, like ativan for the anxiety.

I have had anxiety in the past, and panic atrtacks... my heart raced and Ifelt like I couldn't catch my breath. But I have never had dizziness or tingling. A second opinion maybe? Are you stressed worrying etc? About anything besides the symptoms you described are there any additional symptoms. Did the doc recommend anything to you. If you feel it is affecting the way you are able to care for your kids you need to talk to the doc again, or go for a second opinion. I sill think a second opinion would be good, document your symptoms when they occur, how long you have the feeling etc. Good luck!

Get a second opinion, don't let someone say it's all in your head and not run any tests.
