No, it will go away. Do the baths and the moisturizer. Put the cream on from the doc until it clears up then the Aveeno over top. Once it's clear, just the Aveeno. The key once you get it cleared up is prevention with the baths and continued moisturizing.

My son has had eczema since he was 6 months old (he's 3 1/2 now). I've found the daily baths make a huge difference. It usually takes a few days to clear up, but try it. Just make sure the water isn't super hot and moisturize as soon as they come out to seal the moisture in. Good luck!

She just saw a dermatologist yesterday and they gave me a steroid cream to put on her. I already have aveeno baby wash which I have been using. And i'll try the daily bathing, just thought that was bad don't want to dry her out any more than she already is. Thanks :)

Daily lukewarm (not hot baths), immediately moisturize the skin afterwards (oh and pat, don't rub dry). Consult your doctor for a cream to deal with breakouts, and just a normal cream for in between (we like Aveeno). If it's on their face, vaseline. Don't do bubble baths or drying soap either because they strip moisture from the skin. It used to be thought that it was best to have less often baths, but current research shows that daily baths are actually better. Eczema is a disorder where moisture leaves the skin, so it's important to put it back in with the baths then seal it in with the cream. Good luck!

yes, try to consult your pediatric allergies first for your baby, it might have food allergies that cause her/his eczema. And just try this moisturizer i been using for the in years. Hydrolatum or Vanicream and now vanicream have soaps too. This moisturizers was recommend by the allergy doctor of my kids Hope this will helps. Good Luck
