My daughter has a 1.564 Mb deletion of chromosome 2q12.2q12.3. According to her genetic report this deletion is not associated with a known phenotype or genetic syndrome, but is also not classifiable as a normal variant. She has been diagnosed with an extremely slow processing speed (1st%tile) and poor working memory (4th%tile), as well as executive functioning difficulties that affect her impulse control, judgment and critical thinking skills, all of which are sort of lumped into a shorthand classification of ADHD and learning disabilities. We are wondering if there is any relationship between these disabilities and her gene deletion on chromosome 2. Does anyone else have a child with a deletion of chromosome 2q12.2q12.3?
