I have taken my 8 year old to a specialist and worked with him to retrain his bowels. Its not working. He still has accidents and still does not go to the bathroom regulary. Is there anyone out there with some suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions, but am looking forward to seeing others suggestions. I have a 7 year old who has suffered from constipation since he was born. I give him high fiber meals, lots of salads, lots of raw veggies, very little banana's, milk, and cheese. He naturally drinks a lot of water, but still has a ton of issues. I will definately have to try the flax oil.

My daughter is eight too, she used to suffer from very bad constipation. I've taken all wheat products out of her diet, make her drink loads of water and use flax oil on our slads and veg. This has helped a great deal, she's regular now. I'm sure that you and your doctor and doing the right things to help your child, have faith.
