I'm 37weeks pregnant and this is my first baby and I was told by eating raspberries and drinking raspberry tea will help start up my contractions plus give me a bit more easier labor. I would like to know if it's true and if so how much tea do I need to drink for it to start up contractions I know it's safe for the baby my due date is 2 weeks away but I'm ready for my son to be here And I'm so uncomfortable and in so much pain from being pregnant so I'm just trying to speed things up a bit.

All of the "this makes contractions start" things are pretty much old wives tales. None really will start contractions. If it were true then it would be food we would be told to avoid earlier in pregnancy.

A lot of walking and having sex will help your delivery easier. Some say sex will help with earlier delivery too, some swear by it.

If you are in that much pain why not talk to your doctor about it and see if they will be willing to induce you sooner. If the doctor feels that you are in too much pain they might do it, I know mine offered it. I didn't take the offer though. I did on the other hand take the offer to choose my date when I was over due (although she came before the date I choose)

Although babies can be born before the due date and be perfectly fine, it usually isn't suggested. Inside your belly is usually the safest because ... well being born early does have complications for them. It could be a slightly compromised immune system.
