does the mother of an unborn child have to infom the father of doctors visits if they are not together?

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant the babies father left our house 2 months ago. And has no contact with me since, until today. He wanted to know what the sex of the baby was. I told him. He then stated that he already knew and I was a liar and withholding information from him regarding his child. However no one except my immediate family knows the sex of the child. Do I have to legally tell him about my doctors visits and when I go into labor? Or can I just inform him after the baby is born and set a court date for visitation for the father?

You can specifically say you only want certain people in the room when your in there. As far as him finding out that your there. There is no sure fire way that it would not happen. But if he is not on the list of visitors he may not go in. Good luck.

He works at the hospital that I have to go to. Is there a way that I can make sure he doesn't find out that I am in there?

There is no legal obligation to inform him of anything until the child is born, unless there is a court order stating you have to.
