My 5 year old daughter never wets the bed sometimes she wets during the day but very seldom. The night before last she wet the bed about 4 times in one night, I had to find an old cloth diaper to put on her just to get her through until morning. I took her to the doctor and they did a urine test and said that nothing is wrong with her, that since we just had christmas break and now she is back in school that her body needs to readjust to her new schedule. But she is still having problems and she says it hurts when she pees and she wants me to put diaper rash cream on her. Should I take her back to the doctor?

ask her where it hurts when she pees, as in does it burn when it comes out, her lower back area, also look for blood in her urine and does she have to go constantly-try having her pee in a clear container so you can see if theres blood, also if shes running back to the bathroom the second she leaves thats another indicator something is wrong. Hope she gets better! :)

The doctor called me back and said that it is a bladder infection. I guess they screwed up the first test. Anyway they called in a prescription for her

I have had a bladder infection once before and although it felt like I had to urinate often, I didn't. So i'm not sure she would be going more than usual. If the doctor tested her urine and said it's fine, then chances are it is. Is it possible she has a rash somewhere in that area that would cause it to hurt when she pees?
