I truly am sorry for your loss,I have a friend who sadly lost her baby and since then every year without fail all there family and close friends have a big celebration and let off balloons and lanterns into the sky. She post photo's on Facebook and it looks sad but they all smile and celebrate there baby's birth date. That little boy will never be forgotten and they all show that, it's so heart touching.
If you feel like celebrating then do it however feels right. Hugs**

Well, how about going to his grave and getting him some nice flowers and a little toy to put on his headstone? I don't know if you are religious or not, but saying a little prayer and spending some time there would be nice. So sorry about your loss.
If you would like to celebrate on your own with a little cake and candle representing his first birthday, you can do that. Whatever you feel comfortable with. I would have a really hard time doing that, but if it helps you heal and remember him, do what you need to do.
