We just got our 17 month old off of bottles, but she is refusing to drink milk out of any cup. she just keeps asking for her bottle, and throws a fit when we giver her a sippy cup, or even a regular cup, with milk in it. Any suggestions?!

Just be patient and calm. VERY patient. Find a time that is not too busy or distracting, then snuggle up with her and give her a snack that will make her thirsty, for example cheerios or even a cookie (if you allow her to have any). Just keep offering her a cup/sippy of milk, don't get upset if she refuses, just keep calm and praise her for each step that she takes, the first few times she may just hold the cup or take 1 sip. Steadily she should begin to drink more and more. This process can take a long time, it took at least a couple of months for us to persuade our daughter to drink her milk from a sippy cup for half the day. You have to decide on an approach and stick to it - be consistent and remain calm.

Ensure your daughter has enough calcium by feeding her lots of cheese and yogurt. I am assuming that she is getting hydrated from water and juice so keep that up.
