Early pregnancy bleeding

Hi-I'm pregnant and I started spotting yesterday. It went from pink to red. I went to my dr right away. She did an ultrasound and said everything looks fine, I'm just earlier than we thought. I thought I was 7 weeks and based on the ultrasound I'm not even 6. So, there was no heartbeat because there wouldn't be a traceable one yet anyway. Today I'm bleeding more-I wouldn't say heavy-not like a period, but it's enough to need a liner and I'm cramping and have back pain. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before? I'm worried as I had a miscarriage 3 months ago but I didn't even know that I miscarried until there was no heartbeat. I never started bleeding, just had a D&C. It's just so hard to not know if everything is ok. Just wanted to hear that little heartbeat yesterday

Thank you for responding. We did not do any blood work yesterday but she has been watching them rise and they have been rising appropriately. I have my next ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday so I guess I do just have to wait. That's the tough part!

While it is uncommon to detect the heartbeat on an ultrasound at six weeks, you should be able to at around 7 weeks. As frustrating as it may be you may just have to wait and see. Did the doctor draw blood? To see how high your HCG and progesterone levels are? If you had a miscarriage just 3 mos ago I would suspect the doctor would want to see you every few days at this point. I hope for the best for you!

I have had 2 miscarriage in the past, but yet I did have a bleeding spurt with my 18yr old when I was only 2 months or so.
Not trying to scare you, but cramping (contractions) come with a miscarriage and the back pain as well. I pray it's not, if u don't want it to be, but the sooner they can find out the diagnosis the better!!
I had a baby sleeping 20 years ago, but I was 36 weeks prego with him.
