My little man will be just a few weeks shy of 17 months when easster get here and trying to find ways to have him enjoy Easter this year since it'll be the first one we actually do anything since he was way to little last year. Thinking about having some of the trucks he likes to play with to hide and maybe if I can find some larger eggs, but what other options have others used? I'm trying to avoid candy for awhile, to keep him from getting used to it.

My son was also 16 months two Easters ago. I invited my parents over and we hid some eggs (just empty, I wasn't giving him candy, either) in really obvious places, but he found one and then got distracted by a wind-up jumping chick that my parents had brought. Maybe if I had practiced with him beforehand he would have done better with the egg gathering and I could have gotten some cute pictures, but it was fine. I figured the whole point was for him to have fun, so we just went back to the table and had a second helping of breakfast. :) He was happy, we were happy, it was all good.
