I agree with Elizabeth 100%. Kids will eat whats given to them, therefore stop offering him crackers. Sure the first few days hes going to throw a fit (since thats whats been working for him so far in life) but eventually he will learn he isnt going to get his way any more, and he will eat the food offered to him.

well I would say that if he is hungry enough ..he will eat whatever you put in front of him. Kids in Africa are starving because they don't have food..not because they don't like what their parents cooked.
Stop offering snacks and crackers because obviously he knows that if he refuses the food you will give him that.
Kids are super smart. I don't think a doctor is necessary..he needs you to stop giving in. He will probably cry and fuss but he will get it and it won't take long once his stomach feels hungry.

good that your daughter took him to the doctor in the end i hope that resolves the problem. but the eating issue might have nothing to do with it. if he should still refuse eating cooked food I totally agree with what some other moms said. don't offer the crackers or other snacks and he'll eat what is given to him. if he is strong willed he might not eat for a couple of days but once he's really hungry he'll eat what is on the plate.

My son at the same age went through a spell of eatting only rice pudding or satsumas. This went on for 6 months and then one day he asked for a sandwich. I tried not giving him these foods for two days and he ate nothing! As long as the child is healthy dont worry about it. It will not last forever!
