I always try for something for them to self feed and not too messy for dinner.
Like ziti noodles cut in half with chicken breast, broccoli florets in light olive oil.
As opposed to spaghetti noodles with tomato sauce that makes everything a disaster at 1 year old.
My children have all had teeth and the ability to eat at a year so I just attempt to tame back on gooey sauces.
I make chopped meat dishes such as meat loaf instead of steak to get some red meat into my diet that is easier for a 1 year old to chew.
Snacks we do things like cut up fruit, veggies, gerber snacks, home made banana bread.
