My son is 2 1/2 and he doesn't like to eat breakfast but loves his milk! So I decided to start giving him olvatine for breakfast because it's good for you and his dr. said it's considered breakfast but I want more options on how to get him to actually eat a healthy breakfast

You're winning the battle, but losing the war with Ovaltine for breakfast. You really need to help your son learn healthy eating habits while he's young.

Liquid calories are a problem. Humans don't register them the same as calories from solid food. There's usually a lot of sugar in those breakfast drinks too. It's not a good road to start a two year old on.

Breakfast doesn't need to be traditional breakfast food. If he'll eat other healthy food that's fine. There's no reason he can't have carrot sticks or sweet potatoes or tuna for breakfast.

Not everyone is ready to eat as soon as they wake up. You could try having a later breakfast or brunch.

Sometimes kids are more willing to eat food that they help with. You could also try to involve him more in shopping and food prep.

Sharing is something else to try too. Our kids have always been more willing to try new foods, or to eat if they were cranky, when it was a bite of mom or dad's plate. When they wouldn't sit and eat a banana alone they would sit and share a banana with me.

Offer him different kinds of breakfast foods from cereals, fruits, eggs, lean bacon or sausage, toast with preserves and no butter, milk, and other things. Find what he likes from breakfast foods.
