My son is 2yrs old. I have a 5 month old daughter. Since I had my daughter my hair started falling out in every place i go in our house my son will eat my hair. ( I am aware that hair loss is normal) I thought at first he was jsut playing with it on his tongue...still gross but i would try to stop him and he did for a while but now i noticed him doing it again and i pull it...out of his butt when i change him...i don't know what to do and i dont know if this will do damage to him to his insides. Anyone elses kid do this and if they did how did you get them to stop? I clean my floors all day long but ti's on my furnitire as well(couches) I lose handfulls of hair still.

Renee the thougth sounds ncie but in all honesty i have just started to let my hair grow again and it isn't even to my shoulders yet and i don't wish on cutting it again for a while.

Amy i have never heard of a roomba...what is that? Might sound like a stupid question but i really have no clue. I use a lint roller for my couches and use about one a day between the couch and love seat. By one i mean a whole thing, not just one sheet on the roller.

We just got back from vacation and i didn't see him do it while we were gone so now that we are back i will see if it starts again. We got back last night and tonight he had one in his mouth but as soon as he saw me he handed it to me and said "hair"...hope it stops soon...

Although it may not be the best thing to eat, he could be eating worse things! It's not easy to keep hair off of things, but I would just suggest try to clean it up as much as possible. I don't think it would hurt his insides, my son (19 months) will accidental eat it as well.

We have a roomba, so we try to run that frequently to keep the floor clean, it allows us to get the floors clean with out the time it takes to clean them. As for furniture, you can always use a hand vac every once in a while to get that cleaned up. We got a shop vac (it was about the same price as a hand held vac we were looking at and we could use it in the garage too) that I use a lot because our son will pick crumbs off of things and put them on my chair (no clue why?!?).

Cut your hair short short. He is wrapping it around his tounge and playing with it. If he can not wrap it with his toungue he should lose interest.
