My daughter is 3 and her father is a private in the Jamaica Defense Force. As per a court order which we both signed at a mediation in 2009. he pays J$15,000 for maintenance of his child. She has begin pre school in January 1012 and her school fee which includes lunch and after care is J$45,000 every three months. On those 2 terms, he has only given me Her maintenance and J$15,000 of the J$45,000. I have been the one sorting out her uniform and clothing as well as transportation and school supplies. This term he has purchased some of her books and a pair of sneakers and has advised that he gave me the maintenance money so he will not pay her school fee. I am contemplating to take him to the Jamaican family court but i am terrified that they might cut her maintenance money. Please advise on my chances of settling this matter as my daughter might not be going to school since I cannot afford school fee alone
