We all know how painful it is to find out about chromosome disorder in our babies. There are some fields where medicine can help and relieve our pain, yet there are some when we have to deal alone with - what seems to be - entire universe. Here are a few interesting articles showing what's going on in the science field, what aims to help us - mothers.

I agree with chet. It SHOULD be controversial, because it is a very convoluted issue.

I have a genetic condition and a profound disability as a result. I also know many people with disabilities resulting from genetic conditions

I'm glad that I was born, but I can assure you that if my parents had been given the choice I wouldn't have been. Not because they are bad people, but because most parents, when given the choice, would pick the embryo with the "cleanest" genetic profile.

I'm not saying that embryo testing shouldn't exist, but it should be controversial. It's an extremely complicated issue.
