I AM A 32 YEAR OLD WHO IS 9 weeks preg and now I'm being told that they don't see any fetal in there and I was being advised to take medicine or procedure and fo just miscarry but I feel I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do...I had two ultrasounds and they say the same thing. I have been researching this for a while and some people say it shows up at 10 weeks , shake your belly......I just don't know what to do... I'm scared please help... My boyfriend is do excited and I know this will devastate him....

I'm really sorry that you're going through this. I have four kids, but I also had two miscarriages and it's hard.

If you had two ultrasounds and there was no change I would trust the diagnosis that this is not a successful pregnancy.

You don't need to have the D&C at this point, or take the medication. Many women choose to wait and miscarry naturally. Others don't like the wait, and the not knowing, and would rather get it over with. If you don't miscarry on your own after a certain period of time the doctors may insist on intervening, but at 9 weeks I think most doctors would be happy to leave you be if that's what you want.

Don't be scared. This is very common. When I had my first miscarriage I couldn't believe how many people I knew who'd been through the same thing. It just isn't something that people talk about much. I can tell you thought that you're absolutely not alone.

If you would like, do something something to commemorate this pregnancy. Plant a tree or buy a special keepsake. When I had my first miscarriage my mother in law gave me a stuff giraffe. I was surprised how much I liked having a physical reminder of the pregnancy. Our kids play with the giraffe, it's mixed in with the other stuffed toys, but it reminds of that time and how supportive everyone was.

You're boyfriend will be okay too. You have each other and can share your disappointment.
