Hi I'm wondering if any1 out there has any advice for me I went for my first scan was 14 week to be told that my babies bladder was enlarged they sent me home and I was saw again by the fetal medicine department and was told bad news that the babies bladder was still full and that the valve was not working also that there was only a spec of fluid doctor said that chances when baby was born it would die after birth so I have the option of a termination or to go ahead with the pregnancy I'm just wondering if any1 else has been threw this and has any stories of there own that I could hear about. I also have to little girls at home which were to healthy pregnancies. Thanks

I have never been through this. But the options your doctor is giving you sound like red flags to find a second opinion. What little I've read about this condition suggest intervention in utero. Maybe a shunt or some other option...I don't know and it depends on the cause. I hope and pray that you continue with the pregnancy and find another dr or at least another opinion. If your dr is correct that the baby could die after birth, then there is a chance also that he won't. (Or she). But if you terminate the pregnancy, then the chance of survival and holding your baby is 0%. Do tons of research and exhaust all options before termination. I will pray for you and your baby. Good luck and God Bless!
