New to the communities so hello all :)
I'm the momma of a very wonderful, strange, funny 2.5yr old (born @ 29wk). Diaper changes have never really been one of her favorite times; but it's starting to concern me with how she acts during said changes.
Cam immediately begins to cry and tighten up every muscle in her lower body; once I have the diaper undone & begin to grab a wipe, it becomes a battle to get her cleaned up.
-a quick history-
My husband and I have been living with my parents since before she was born; she's been with either myself or my mother every day. She does go to a babysitting room (I work for the YMCA so when I work 4.30-8.30pm and can see her from where I am). The only other people she's alone with are my husbands immediate family.
This being said; she's very very strong and fights to keep us away from wiping her bum / hoohoo. It's very difficult to hold her legs apart to make sure we got everything clean 100% - it's then she begins to essentially "buck" and throw herself around.
I don't know what to do anymore, it's very upsetting to go through this multiple times in a day. She does show interest in PT time but hasn't realized all the way that her potty isn't a toy box (lol)
