Hi...I'm New here I'm concerned regarding my toddlers behaviour I'll start from the start...he is 2 & a half now!.

My son was breech inside my tummy so he was born by a c-section he was quite a happy baby always content and such...he wasn't rolling over when he should of been or crawling..but he did in his own time...when he was 10 months old he started having seizures he had 21 in the space of 5 month.( he crawled at 13 months started to walk at 18 months) all his seizures where under 2 minutes! after the seizures he was clingy upset screamed a lot...he was then put on sodium valproate which I think is liquid epilim at 15 months they started to wean him on the medication starting at 1ml twice a day then a week later 2ml he still had seizures on 2ml twice a day so they wanted him up to 3ml morning and night this has stopped the seizures he has now been seizure free for 1 and a half years... he had 2 EEG's which where normal one was when he was sleeping one was when he was awake...he had also an MRI brain scan which showed scar tissue on the side of his brain ( he was diagnosed with clonic-tonic seizures) 2 and a half months after he was put on the medication we noticed a difference in his behaviour screaming a lot...he isn't talking but can say a few words if he wants me to go somewhere he will pull me and such so he does have ways of communicating I've been told he is a year delayed. don't know if this is due to the scar tissue...but he is quite hyper and such constantly climbing. running. screaming ..wants constant attention..lots of tantrums...and is like this everyday...out and about he is kind of okay...still has tantrums because he wants out his pram but runs away he wont walk with his rains on or nothing....is anybody going threw the same thing... I've spoke to doctors they say 3ml in the morning and 3ml at night isn't enough to effect his behaviour... I don't know if its because of the scar on his brain...seizures ...or terrible twos
please help!!! :-) x
