This is my first baby. A friend advised me to go on exclusive(only breastfeeding) which I am not very convinced to do cos it is not often practised whr I am from. Any ideas?

Exclusively breastfeeding for at least 6 months (and continuing to breastfeed while adding in small amounts of solid foods) is really best for your baby and for yourself.

The longer a woman breastfeeds the less her chances of getting breast cancer. Breast milk is free and always ready to go w/ no bottle preparation. WHO (the World Health Organization) recommends breastfeeding for a minimum of 2 years.
