I am 8 weeks pregnant today and my boobs always ache. I'm used to that because they have always been large (DDD even before I got pregnant). However last night, a small area near my nipple on my right breast would hurt so severely whenever it was touched or even caressed that it felt like a razor blade cutting deeper and deeper into my breast. I've tried a heating pad and it helped a little bit (once I could stand the pain long enough to have it touching the area) but after the heating pad was off, it would hurt just as bad. A hot shower made it worse. It is not a constant pain... Only when it is touched. Please give me some ideas on how to relieve this pain. Not sure I can handle it much longer.

i'm sorry, i didn't pay attention that you are 8 weeks pregnant. i messed up. the tea bags and lanlolin will help. but as for the breastmilk...sorry that wouldn't be in yet. your breasts are just being tender because of your body is changing all around. good luck

my sister always put tea bags on her nipples when she said they were sore and said it helped. I never tried it, but that's what she did. There is also lanlolin that you can use for sore nipples. I used this and it helped. If you already are starting to get breastmilk in, squeeze some out onto the nipple. the breastmilk is an antibiotic. Alot of times the breastmilk (colostrum) comes in months before the bab;y is born..if the milk is coming in, you could be having a blockage in your breast where it hurts. try massaging it and releasing some of the milk if you can. maybe your husband needs to do his thing with them. that might help..it did mine anyways.

I'm so sorry. I'm not sure there's much you can do. I had severe pain with my first pegnancy and with this one (my second pregnancy didn't have the breast pain, the but morning sickness made up for it, lol). Try using a cold pack instead of a hot pack. Wear a supportive bra. Expect your size to continue to increase and to continue to ache (mine were the same before pregnancy and they get HUGE during pregnancy and even bigger when your milk comes in, it's crazy!). For me, a lot of the pain happens right before or as I go up a size.
