Hi I'm 28 years old and had 2 babies back to back. The first pregnancy my hair was normal it didn't get thick, but it fell out mostly at my temples after my baby was born. Then I was pregnant 5 months later with baby #2. While prego my hair was still falling out then when I was 6 months pregnant it stop and my hair got so thick at the end of my pragency. As soon as my 2nd baby was born most of my hair fell out, I had two bald spots at my temple and the crown is still shedding 1 year later after baby #2. Now my first child is 2 years old and the second will be 1 on January 29. So it been a year now and my hair is so so thin and still falling out, I've try everything, don't use heat, don't do andy straining hairstyles, I use all natural products on my hair and nothing works. I'm African American and have long curly hair which I chop off and now have 6" of hair. My question is, "is it possible that it may take longer for my hair to grow back because of my back to back pregnancies" I've been to the doctor and all test are normal but my iron was low. I've been on iron supplements for 3 months now and I'm still shedding. I'll be going back to check my levels in two weeks. While searching the internet it said that postpartum hair should grow back within a year. My doctor told me that my hair fall should stop within a month of the iron supplements. Mind you it's been 3 months to this day and my hair just keep falling out, I'm so tired of trying everything I can and it just won't stop. Also is it possible that postpartum hair loss can last longer than a year?
Thank for the help ladies.
