I have been in a relationship now for 2 and half years with my partner an her two kids, who call me mama and my love is my new title I have falling in love with every time "my three time, an I love you" Random its a lyric from a song title.L. Richie. Picture this a worm loving family in a small USA town in NH an all we are guilty of is loving an raising are modern family with hopes an dreams to grow as we love each other an people who effect are world... The twist I can't seem to find the respect I try so hard to earn from my girlfriends family even know I have giving my all since day ONE... Absolute no reason to hate except being me a born gay-idk.. Now I have filled my hart with what I would say is not hate but more like I cant stand the person you bring out of me when you enter my house.. An I cant say nothing at all.. What would you do?

Same thing anyone else does.. Let go darlin.. You are to good a person to stress over it.. Make your own family within a family.. you and your partner and your children enjoy your time together, be gracious and polite when dealing with your partners family and then ignore the crap.. Know that you are a wonderful person and mother and be the best you can be for them.. I detested my ex's family.. We were married 17 years and they never had a clue.. I talked politely and dealt as little as possible with them. My ex knew my feelings and why they were hurt by his family and we did fine. It got to the point i stopped going to family events and let him do it. It got easier all the way around when i decided my feelings were just as important and i took a day and got pampered or enjoyed some time to myself when a family event came around.
