Fara, Yes. I went around the doc and got some samples of 1mg of Intuniv from the nurse! He refused to start her on a low dose of 1mg of Intuniv, and would not give me samples. So, I just did it myself. I am glad for the heads up. Today, an interesting reaction. I usually give her 40mg of Ritalin early in the am. Today I did that and Isabella just got really sick to her stomach, very sleepy and zoned out. She could not even wake up! I had to let her stay home. Lasted all day like this until the Ritalin SR wore off at about 3:00pm. Then, she seemed normal. I suspect that with the Intuniv the Ritalin needs to be lowered back down to 20mg. It also gave her terriblea anxiety. Any ideas out there? Thanks, Suzette

I also forgot to add that the doc insisted she start on 2mg of Intuniv, not 1 mg. That is why I got some 1mg to be on the safe side. Just wanted to clarify that. Suzette

Maybe look for a different doctor that is willing to listen to your concerns and how your child reacts to the medicine instead of just forcing products on you. Some doctors are just like that. Good luck.
