Hi Ladies,

I am 30 weeks pregnant and very excited. This pregnancy has been stress free, mostly due to the fact that I decided to do it alone. I broke up with the child's father 4 months ago and have not contacted him, he hasn't either. I had a restraining order on him, which is now voided, but I am still not in contact. We are expecting a son and I would like for him to know his father, but I want nothing to do with him. Should I contact him? I was thinking of just waiting until the baby is born and to just send pictures, nothing more. And to keep him updated via pictures. But, now I am wondering if I should make contact now or no? And if I should, what do I even say? I don't mind him being updated on the baby's well being now, but I don't want any negative feedback from him at all. What should I do?

Thanks

Thank you. I was considering just getting an attorney to act as a representative. I think this is best.

Since you want to avoid stress I would wait until after the baby is born. You should get a lawyer, so you can go to court once the baby is born and have custody orders established. I suppose visitation and child support would be a bit tricky if he's going to be in jail for a while, but you could get it all in writing on how he will stay updated on his child while in jail.
