We'll go out for breakfast, head to the car show at the park (why I love Father's day more than Mother's day) and then I will make a nice dinner later on. I always make it a surprise. Have not settled on the meal yet, but I'm making a pie-cake for dessert. Pecan pie baked into a chocolate cake. Yeah, I'm pregnant. Ahahaha.
Have not picked out gifts yet. We usually just get something small. I'm kind of tempted to have our 2 year old pick out an ugly tie. Ha.

I am using my husbands idea for mothers day for him. He had tried to get me a poster sized picture of our children. The lens was broken on my camera so the pictures turned out crappy. So all I got was the frame. So I dressed the kids up to look like mommy and daddy (in our clothes) and did a poster collage. I know he will love it, everyone in our family I told about the pictures say they want a copy.

Hi what do you think of this for a fathers day gift... make hubby his favorite breakfast, then go for walk with family at park and have little picnic with snacks and maybe a beer or wine for hubby. Then take kids to visit parents... give dad a gift...leave kids there for couple hours...take hubby home, order movie http://www.amazon.com/Fathers-Day-Gifts-... maybe something rated R, then a little somethin to let him know how much i appreciate him,...then pick up the kids.

My husband works away 10 days at a time and it just so happens that he is away the weekend of father's day. So i think i will pack up the boys and we will make a surprise visit to him - he is only two hours away so i dont think it will be a too long of a drive. We will go for a visit and take him out for supper. We will make him a nice card and probably a few pictures .... but as far as a gift i am not sure. He did not do anything for Mother's day for me (he was away, but still didnt even wish me a happy mothers day). My mum bought me a beautiful heart necklace from my sons thou and they loved giving it to me. So guess i did get something so should probably look into finding him something.

My husband is a Marine Corps veteran. One day when he was shopping with me at khols he found a "manly" cross/tag necklace that he liked. The next day i went back and purchased it. I had our son's name and stats engraved on the tag to make it look like a dog tag. When our daughter is born in September i'll have her "dog tag" made to go on the necklace too. Plus i made our own fathers day card using funny pictures of our son. It says "wanna know the best part about being your son?" on the cover with an inquisitive photo of our boy. "good genes" with a ridiculously over dramatic, hair everywhere, photo of our son. It's a running joke between me and my husband, and i'm positive he will love it.

Our son just turned one. I'm a scrapbooker so I've put together a scrapbook with pictures my son and us with our son. I plan on making a card with our son's handprints on it. We'll spend the day as a family doing whatever my husband feels like doing.

Yeah my boyfriend totally forgot it was mothers day this year. Even though I made a huge deal out of it LAST year when I was pregnant with our son I was soooooo excited to be a mom that my mom and my boyfriends mother wished me a happy mothers day with cards and he didn't do anything. So I figured this year would be different, when I was actually a mom. My first mothers day!!!

Ever since my girls were born, now 11 and 5, we try to work really hard at making this his special day. We always make reservations at a new retaraunt and bring his dad and mom too. The girls work really hard at making him a beautiful, your the best daddy picture. This year from the three of us for working so hard, we are getting him a one hour deep tissue massage from Massage Envy. Great price too! I hope you all have a nice Father's Day. Betsy D

I am also a SAHM so only have half to pay for the belt my SO wants ($50 of the $100) so I gave him that and told him to put it away until I get the rest then we can order the belt. Its a special super sturdy belt for his gun holster or there is no way I would spend that much on just a regular belt! LOL I figure if he has an expensive gun and an expensive holster he needs the expensive belt to hold it all! Of course we got a card too and the boys will probably make him pictures of some kind. :o) Oldest might be doing something in school too.
Well, there's a lot of yard equipment we are currently doing without. I don't have a paying job (SAHM) so I've been saving my extra grocery money and spending money. I plan to take him to Home Depot and let him pick out a blower or weed eater or whatever else he wants that is within the amount that I've managed to secretly save. He'll love it because he actually likes to do yard work.

My daughter's daddy love playing poker. I ordered him a deck of playing cards from shutterfly with a picture of him and our daughter riding one of the horses together, combining three of his favorite things. sure to be a big hit. :)

Last year I, er I mean the kids, put together a photo book on Shutterfly for their Dad. I used photos from their births to the present, being sure to include many with him in the shot. It was a big success. I find Gretchen's post very timely, as this year, my husband is also getting a bicycle!

This is going to sound so harsh because it's so against my nature but I'm not doing SHIT for Jon on Fathers Day. He didn't even tell me Happy Mothers Days. All he did was ask Allison if SHE told me happy mothers day.
He knew I was hurt and he said, "You're not MY mother."
Ok Asshole. 2 can play that game.
What I would like to do is have Allison make a stepping stone with her handprint in cement for the flower bed like we did last year but he can suck it
We're doing my hubby's favorite things: breakfast out and then a trip to the flea market (he LOVES that place - lol). He's also going to take the day off work (which is a really big deal because he works 7 days a week and has only taken 1 1/2 days off in the last 5 months) and we're going to spend the whole day together as a family. :)
