My husband does most of everything I do when it comes to our two children, yes he's a little rough around the edges( more strict, not as tolerate, or patient) but he cooks, cleans, stays up with our 14 week old, changes diapers, etc... I just feel bad he says dads don't get enough credit and I agree, I tell all my co workers family and friends what he does and I see a questioning face stare back at me. Is he the only one that helps( it may not be the way I like it or do it) lol, but he try's and for that I'm thankful!

I'm not saying he's doing anything out of the ordinary, others look at me like their husbands do not do the same. I'm more speaking on commercials and other mainstream propaganda not recognizing fathers as a whole. I as a mother would be offended if everytime I turn on the tv they're praising fathers all I'm saying is equality among parents on every aspect.

Most of the men I know are very good, involved fathers. Same as most of the women I know are very good, involved mothers. They deserve (and from what I see in my 'circle'... get) equal, but not over the top, recognition... for doing what they should be doing.... raising their kids.

The thing is, I bet you don't get credit either. I question why we need to heap credit on our husbands and yet they merely do the same job we do but rarely get credit for. I don't know if that makes sense. My husband does a LOT around the house too, but that's because it is the responsibility of both of us, not just me. So when you say he does mos of everything you do, AND you are also a working mother, isn't that what he "should" be doing?
