Favorite Cookies for College Students

I bring cookies to work every Friday morning. I get up early enough to bake them fresh before work (I've done it for many years) because I think it is a little thing I can do to encourage my colleagues.

About 6 months ago, though, I started working the President's Office of a small private college so now some of my eaters are college students. I'm looking for ideas of the best cookies I can make for them.

I know that college can be pretty challenging -- there's so much for the students to balance -- but I also know that students who personally connect with their faculty and administrators (especially with the president) find more success than students who don't.

So, I want to bring cookies that don't look like treats for elementary school but that will make the kids drool like they did when they were in the third grade.

Suggestions?

I really think any kind of baked goods like this would be a hit. I would send my daughter things like that and cookies and she would share with friends. Her grandparents sent her that too. They did not care what it was because it was homemade and good!

Thanks, Evelyn! Chocolate Chip cookies are my favorites and they go quickest, for sure. I make all of the standards, actually. I've even thought of make some "to-go" bags to set near the plate so that they can take a couple back to their roommates, who I hope would help spread the word. If you see any cookies that seem trendy for the college-age/coffee-all-night crowd, please feel free to share!

I would think its safe to say that the cookies will not matter what they look like as long as its something most will like. i do not know how they would look like elementary school age treats. When I was 14 I had two friends (boys) at school that lived close to me and after school they were always at my house for fresh chocolate chip cookies after school served on a dinner plate. I think that chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, oatmeal raisin, iced cookies (if you have the time), snickerdoodles (cinnaomin), and anything you are good at making.
