My lil girl is about 22month old and she's been staying with my parents since from birth, now the challenge is that my inlaws wants to take her from my parents care though they are giving her the best care ever.. i realy want her to know them but not like this, i don't want to sound selfish or arrogant but the area in which they are living in is a bit disadvantaged so is the family. How do i make peace with the situation? Please help..........

Do your parents have a court order or did you let them have her? Have you given away your rights as her Mother? If not then you decide where your daughter goes. I am wondering why you aren't looking after her though.

Again, why haven't you got your child?

She will be 3 next month. I understand that your parents had her when you first went back to work but why have you not got her back since?

Sorry for taking so long to reply, my baby was born pre-maturely in january 2010 and by the time i had to get back to work she was still so small and i trusted no one but my mom to look after her, she has been staying with my parents ever since. Her dad and i only got married early this year, so now his family believes the child should be staying with them not my family. all of the families involved stays in different towns. I have a problem with the way my mom inlaw do some of the things and it will be very difficult for me to monitor through the phone. for goodness sake - cleanliness is next to godliness......

I agree with Michelle on this. Is there a court order in place or is CPS involved?
