Would like to exchange treatment and cure related information for my son on Febrile Seizures. I have recently started a blog (www.saraharoon.wordpress.com) with details of the treatment he has had to date. His first febrile seizure was at 2.5 yrs, second at 3.5 and most recent couple of weeks ago at 5 yrs. The seizure he had at 2.5 extended from initial 15-20 minutes, (diazepam administered , but upon regaining conciousness, he was still twitching, he was given diazepam again, but this happened a total of four times so upto to three hours almost. I consider myself lucky that our child after remaining in Intensive care for 3 days and in the hospital for 5 was restored to health. I am looking for suggestions, if moms with such kids are observing some special kind of diet to curb the seizures? Could we help them at all through diet? In my blog I have included an emergency response note for parents once their child is school going to share with the class teachers to know how to manage a child with a febrile seizure and some other information that moms may find useful. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions that could help.
