Just started feeding veggies to our 5 month old...she's been eating 1/4 cup cereal once a day but we aren't sure how much of the vegetable to give her we started with 2 tbsp but she seemed to want more...we don't want to give her too much

I actually was instructed by my 9mos old baby
Dr. To feed rice cereal at 2months of age my son was already eating veggies stage 1 or me blending up, I only served amt of say 2-3tbsp veggie and 2-3tbsp cereal rice.. until age 7 months now he eats stage 2 jars and as my son dr told me at 6months check up I can feed him anything I want AS LONG AS HE CAN NOT CHOKE ON IT.....
I was told by wic nutrionist that you listen to your baby if they turn away stop if they want more give more
You should always give baby BM or formula first then solids...

At 5 months old she shouldn't really be eating any solids yet. 2 tbsp of veggies is plenty. Make sure to nurse or bottle feed before the solids and if she is still hungry... nurse or bottle feed again after.

Solids are not necessary (and are potentially harmful) under 6 months and then just occasional tastes are fine.
