Feeding Length?

Ever since my milk came in yesterday, my 5 day-old has cut down the length of her feeding times. She quits nursing each side after 5-7 minutes. I'll burp her, tickle her, undress her, but she just doesn't seem interested after that. She just falls asleep, and seems to be content. She still sleeps for a good 2-3 hours, and wakes up hungry as normal, should I be concerned? Is her belly just adjusting to the real milk now? Any tips on how to get her to nurse longer?

Sounds like she is doing ok. Keep track of her wet and dirty diapers.....if those are good she is getting enough milk. Milk is more filling than the colostrum, so her belly maybe filling up faster now. As she grows she will change in her eating habits according to what she needs......so she may pick up her length she nurses over time. She may also pick up how often she eats as she goes through growth spurts.
