"Wanted to know a few opinions/thoughts on feeding babies baby food at the months"

^^ This is what you asked. So I will give my opinion.

You shouldn't be feeding a 3 month old solid foods. You could actually be doing harm.

Firstly, their tummies are not ready for it at this age. More often than not, they cannot absorb the proteins, and this can cause digestion problems.

Secondly, an infant's nutrition is important for their physical AND mental development. Formula and breastmilk ONLY are recommended for this very reason.

Thirdly, infants this age do not have the ability to turn their heads away when they are not hungry any more - that means they can't signal you that they have had enough. So you just keep force feeding them. And infant can stop sucking, but they can't stop you shoving a spoon down their throat. You are potentially setting the child up for a lifetime of obesity (and if you don't understand that connection, you need to do some more of you own research, which I am sure you have done)

Finally, it isn't "doctors" making this recommendation, it is the entire World Health Organisation and the AAP. Not just the local doctor. If your child was 5 months, I would be more inclined to think that yes, your individual child may be ready, but 3 months? No.

Why ask if you are going to argue the point though? Because you DID ask for opinions.

LOL you wanted to start something and I shout you down. Like I said no one can change you from doing what you are doing.....but as far as nutrition and health wise doctors say not to introduce solids until 6 months because babies need the nutrition of the breastmilk/formula and solids carry none of that nutrition that a younger baby needs.

My baby is adjusting to get feeding very well. Still making her daily poops and everything. I only wanted to get a opinion on how other moms felt about it. Your snotty remarks aren't needed. We had two different ways of raising our children!!... If you don't have a nice or helpful comment Keep It To Yourself.

Why do you want to know opinions if you are already doing so. What you are doing is not recommended by docs. and your baby is most likely losing out on the needed nutrition she needs at her age, but no one can stop you from doing what you are doing.
