Feeding rant

Why is it so bad that I want I breast feed but not want to actually feed from my breast. I want to pump even though it is a lot of work. My job is very supportive so I will have the time. Maybe not the energy but I would like to try

It is not bad, but as Dove stated it is not as effective. You get less milk exclusively pumping and it is harder to do exclusive pumping for a long period of time because your milk supply tends to not be able to keep up for what baby needs/wants. I think if that is the way you want to do it.....go for it. But also be realistic about it too. What people may be saying to you may not be that it is bad just that realistically here are the cons. Don't ignore those. Consider those and then go forward from there.

It's not bad.... but keep in mind that no pump will ever be as efficient as your baby at getting the milk out. I have known very FEW people that were able to successfully pump exclusively.

Me... I spent 4.5 years total of my life breastfeeding my kids and was never able to pump.
