Hey Everyone!

So my husband is in the Army and I'm a stay at home mommy. He was in Arizona for 6 weeks for training, was home for 2 weeks, and then left again to go to the field for 1 week. Ever since my husband has left for the field, I feel like my 4 month old daughter is scared that I'm going to leave her as well. Whenever I go into the kitchen to make myself food, she starts to scream! Same thing as if I try to start a load of laundry, or even go to the bathroom! The screaming also starts when it's nap time. She's fine if she lays down and I'm next to her, but once I walk away she screams for at least 20 minutes. I spend my entire day with her, and she used to never act like this, and I'm wondering if any other moms have dealt with this, and if it's just a phase. I'm starting to go crazy and my household chores are seriously starting to lack because I start doing something and then have to stop to soothe her. PLEASE HELP!! :)

Thank you! I think I will definitely have to invest in a carrier of some sort. She seems to be doing a lot better today, I just hate hearing her sound so sad :(

It's called separation anxiety and she's totally normal. She doesn't yet fully realize (and won't for quite a while) that you are a separate person from her, so when she can't see you.... she freaks out, having no idea if you are coming back or even if you still exist.

If you have a sling/baby carrier it can help you get the chores done while she is content against you.
