Hi ladies. I'm Ashley. I'm a proud single mom of my beautiful son austin. He turned one on Monday. I cannot believe what changes have occurred in one year. It gives me great hope for our future. However now that my income is depleted after a year off I'm feeling pressure to return to the work world. I love working and the friendships and benefits that come from being a productive member of society. However I do not know what to do? My baby ? Daycare? I am told due to my unique situation I will recieve some funding to assist in the costs. I just don't no what to do where to work? I am a bartender of waitress and did not finish university. I pray o find some answers but at this point I think any job would do. Forgive me for my rambling. Does any one else feel like they don't no where to turn.

All the time!

Are you on your own, or do you have a support system or partner? That will affect whatever decisions (and hopefully they would help you in your deciding) you go with.

If you have the opportunity to receive assistance, and can use it towards expenses for daycare, that is good. With your line of work, the hours can be fairly irregular, so finding childcare to fit that could be a challenge, but not impossible! You may have to look into more 'in home' options, or private certified caregiver.

Don't worry about not having finished university. If you still want to, work on it a bit at at time, maybe one course per semester. Check into funding opportunities for that as well.

My recommendation for now is to do what you know, if you can find a place that will be reasonable with your schedule. Work to increase your skillset, or move up in the dining/restaurant field. You've already overcome the biggest stumbling block, and that is WANTING to work!

You'll do fine, and be successful, as long as you stay positive and keep moving forward
