So I am having trouble trying to find a cute theme for her first birthday party in June and I hate waiting until the last minute, the themes discussed were; doodlebops, Mickey mouse club house, little bill, and frozen. There has been no agreement on an age appropriate theme and I really need help with age appropriate activities and food ideas for the babies and adults....

So when you ask about age appropriate activities, and then tell us it is a 1 year old birthday, exactly what "kids" are you trying to organise activities for? After all, organising activities for 1 year olds is pointless, but now there are other age kids at this party? Noone can advise you on age appropriate activities if you don't tell anyone the age......

Yes, amazingly I have pictures of my children on their first birthday too. Cake and family (and a BBQ). That's it, and that's all you need, and that is really all that is important in celebrating a first birthday. In no way was I suggesting your child would just be "sitting there", neither did I say it "doesn't matter". But really, setting up "activities" and theming up the entire party is overkill. Just have family and friends, with a nice cake, and they are memories to capture for your capsule. The rest of it is fluff and really unnecessary. But hey, if you want to do overkill, that's your prerogative and your stress.

We are going to be taking pictures and making a capsule and she isn't just going to sit there so.....it really does matter

It's a first birthday. This isn't about your child - your child won't even remember it. Age appropriate activities? She's ONE. You don't need organised activities for a 1 year old at their party.
