I had an emergency c-section for my first child - I am small and he was huge! I'd like more children, and will do all I can to have a natural birth the next time. Anybody know how long to wait after c-section to fall pregnant again for the doctors to allow me to go for a vaginal birth?

Minimum recommendation even if it's going to be a repeat c-section is 2 years between births. I have no idea if the recommendation is the same or longer for a VBAC attempt.

Each case is different. It's usually recommended to wait a year between giving birth and getting pregnant again, to allow your body time to heal and recuperate, but that's with any kind of birth.
You would be well off to talk to your doctor/OBGyn and ask them about becoming pregnant again. Especially if you've had issues/a slow recovery from your c-section. But I would think that as long as you've healed well and fully and then have a healthy pregnancy, you should be able to get pregnant at pretty much any time.

I would personally suggest though, that you look around and find someone who has a high success rate of vbacs (vaginal birth after c-sections). Some doctors believe that basically once a c-section, always a c-section. Do your research before hand and go in as prepared as you can :) Good luck
