My daughter is 7 months and showing a very active interest in eating finger foods. Last night we tried some small noodles, she liked but hard to pick up. She held a mango and sucked on that and loved it. I was thinking of trying her with small bites of a scrabbled egg, chicken and steamed carrots. were still nervous of her chocking so we are very cautious but I'm open to more ideas or hearing your success stories with introducing finger foods.

Yes. Definitely aware of that but we are starting to introducing new textures since my doc has suggested it. She's been on purees since 4 months and has eaten a lot just in puree form.

You shouldn't try too many different foods at once, just in case she has an allergy to something, you want to be able to narrow it down. But generally speaking, she should be trying new foods to get used to different flavors and textures. however, she should still be getting most of her nutrition from breast milk or formula until 1 year old.
