I have 12 kids and I return to work when each one is 3 weeks old. By this time they need to learn to be away from mommy and so they don't get manipulative and clingy. Anyways, I've always fed babies their firt foods around 2 weeks to help cut back on formula costs. But now my recent baby I ws told not to do foods for 6 months! What is wrong with America! My babies are always just FINE!
The older ones are rarely constipated and only 8 of the 12 have allergies and I'm certain that feeding them foods has nothing to do with it! So baby 12 is 10 days old and I just went out to buy him somepureed ham since that's always my kids favorites. Does anyone else think its absud to wait 6 months! That's way too much money spent into formula!

yep, kind of like bathing them or parking lots. that's why I only have 1 kid. oops

I find a little thin gruel mixed with some pureed jellybeans works well as a first food. (Babies need lots and lots of carbs.)

Once a week, I give a protein bar.

I usually start with lollipops and move onto grapes, cherry tomatoes and hot dogs. If the kid doesn't choke they're ready for anything

Yeah we did a half birthday celebration for our first. Black forest cake and all. It's horrible to deprive them.

sorry bout the caps! the ham is been a favorite as long as i add in some brown sugar. it is SSOO mean to expect babies to eat bland foods! theyre people too! they love some salt on their veggies and sugar on fruit. its just common sense i think

Hey it probably works all the same. My husband likes the moonshine, but I think I'll probably wait to six months to add that. Their livers are stronger then you know.

Personally, I like to go with salami, it's got a bit more *zing* to it.

Oh! Tid bit for ya, if you put a dash of whiskey in the stuff you can get babe to go just a wee bit longer without needing a feed. Really saves on the food bill.
