First period after childbirth? Complications? Anyone input please!

Hi Moms :) I'm 12 months postpartum, my period has not returned and I never breast fed.

2 weeks ago mega nausea, gas and bloating started. It continued and grew, adding on acne and most recent heartburn so bad I couldn't sleep last night. Awful. Mood swings and last 2 days back cramping.

I went to the Dr last week, tested hormones but not for pregnancy. My hormones came back perfect.

He did not test for preg bc I am on the pill.... However last few months I have been taking large amounts of fennel to try and bring back my period. Come to find out, via my nutritionist friend and Google...fennel cancels out birth control pills and increases fertility. Auuugghhhh :)

So here it is, test came up negative.

Opinions please, is it too early OR did any of you have excessive PMS with return of period? Any suggestion on helping my body balance out?

I'm talking bloating so out there I can't button pants, heartburn after chicken soup last night?? Gas like crazy and that's not me!

I should mention last week I had a few days brown discharge followed by a tiny pink reddish discharge one time.

Hi, sounds like first period. 3 weeks ago I started feeling a bit down. Last week a little tired, tired, tired. This week soooooooooooo moody, bloated, tired, exhausted, headaches, brown discharge with a little red streaks. Moods are driving me nuts. I think body is starting to produce estrogen again so just getting use to it s my guess?

Both times my first period was awful- extra crampy, extra moody. But, it is very possible to be pregnant too, and I would retest or gte a blood test.

3058 really sounds like you are preggo. Hit the pharmacy up and take a test. Good luck!
