First time mom + stubborn lil 1 + potty training = ??? HELP!

I've tried potty training my lil 1 ever since she was 14 mo, but would stop when she'd fuss and scream when heading for the bathroom. She's always shown interest in the potty, but she won't use it. She's now 26 mo and knows how to remove her pull ups. She recently started removing her pull ups and going potty wherever she is. I was going to wait til she was 29 mo to really push the potty, but I don't want to clean up potty messes for 3 months. I've tried pull ups, letting her run around naked, taking her to the potty every 10 minutes, and potty chairs. I now have a next step toilet lid by beemis and she seems to like that. She knows how to flush and even put the lid down after flushing, but still no go. I don't know what to do. Please give me some advice.

It just takes time. Starting at 14 mos. you actually made the process longer. She is just over 2 yrs. old, so it is just going to take time before she is ready for the next step. She has to learn her body and how it works and how to control it. That is just something that she learns over time not really anything you can do to make her learn any faster. Encourage her and reward her when she goes on the potty.
