Five Month Old Baby Boy - Refusing Bottle, squeezing when Urinating - what to do next?

Paul - posted on 01/08/2014 ( 1 mom has responded )

He's stopped taking his bottle fully during the day, a couple of ounce each feed, still passing urine into his nappies about four times per day and will drink down a bottle or two at night (7 ounce in each) - is this enough? When he is passing urine he goes red in the face and squeezes - is this normal for babies? I'm a first time daddy and any help will be appreciated, our health adviser has said to persist, we are also trying him with pureed fruit and veg - could this be contributing to his lack of milk consumption?

I'd be concerned with the effort it's taking him to urinate. Have your pediatrician check for urethral blockage to be safe.
