I used a bit of baking soda and rubbed it in (in a circular) motion with a washcloth right after I washed their "hair", then just rinse carefully (so as not to get any in their eyes)

Just to let you know, cradle cap is most often formed because of soap residue left on your child's head. Make sure that you're properly rinsing the soap out of his or her hair. Also, get a soft bristle brush and brush his or her hair in the bath in a circular motion to loosen the dead skin.

Baby oil worked wonders for my babies cradle cap. All you do is rub the baby oil on the trouble spots...let it sit for a few minutes..or longer if you want, and brush gently with a baby brush. That junk comes off nice and easy. You may need to do it more than once...but it worked for me. It took me for my son 1 time, for my daughter it was worse and it took 1 week. Good luck!

it may be a bit gross but when my daughter had a flaky scalp at around 3 mos, i scraped off the flakes with her baby brush after her bath and washed her hair again. I then proceded to only wash her hair every couple days, notevery day, to help keep moisture in her hair. washing excessively can make the scalp dry and flaky...it went away pretty quick and havent had a problem since. now she's 17 months.
