flea bites but no pets, how can i make it stop?

my son has been bitten by fleas but we have no pets, I have also gotten bit... I don't understand how that is possible, any clues on why and how can I make it stop..

Fleas can live in grass so it's possible to still have fleas in the house with no pets. Also you can get fleas from rodents living in the walls. Fleas can not live on human blood alone so they would be dead in a few days. Since they aren't I would assume you might need to call an exterminator.

Are you sure they are flea bites? Use a flashlight and go looking for them in bedding, clothes and carpeting. Fleas can infect carpets and be near impossible to get rid of.
