So mommies, I need your help. I love love my little ones. 3, 2, and five months. BUT goodness they have to stay glued to me 24/7. They have huge bedrooms with lots of toys and space to run and play, but what do they do? Get one toy, maybe, and come sit right at my feet or next to me while I'm caring for the little one, try to watch tv I mean I can't go to the bathroom. Now, initially I was a big fan of attachment parenting, I wore them, bfed them, and co slept sometimes. I just wanted to hear other stories of SAHM's and how you get your little ones to "discover" at least five feet away from you. LOL

Thanks Amy. I'm not sure because most of the time I'm just taking care of my infant and no matter what I'm doing they just want to play by or near me. We have moved recently and it's been a big change for them. They haven't responded in a negative way though, they are only clingier. That may be it, but if so I wonder how long before the newness wears off.

Are they picking up on your vibes? The only reason I ask is because if I'm at the end of my rope the kids sense it and then it becomes a game for them. I think it's s competition on who can make mommy lose it first usually I end up yelling not at them just out loud and we all have a big laugh. The more my 5 year old senses I want 5 minutes to myself the more he is my shadow and his 22 month old sister follows him around so they're both right there.

I wore both of my kids and they are 2 and 5 and don't want to be near me for anything. They are both super independent. Unless tired...then they are up my butt.
