Hi all,

i was just wondering if you think its possible that a baby will spit up no matter baby was on nestle goodstart since he was born and a few weeks ago he started spitting up i decided to put him on soy formula, and he has been a better baby, less fussy more content but the last few days he is back to spitting up alot after he just wondering if he is just one of those babies that will spit up on anything... i hate to make another switch..the doctors i seen werent very helpful, just said its all based on experience and that switching formulas doesnt hurt them.

My baby was one of those babies that spewed no matter what we did, what formula or medication he was on. Switching formula doesn't hurt but it doesn't really help either unless you're changing to soy or HA or lactose free or AR.

Some babies just spit up more. My doc said that valve in esophagous(sp?) was not mature enough. It also could be reflux. Both should resolve itself.

My first was a great baby no problems with wind , she always burped very well. She just would spit up a lot, she grew out of it before 5 months. She put on weight as normal and over all was a good happy healthy baby.Talk to your doctor and they can advise you more.I never changed her formula. She was never sick as in bugs etc until 2yrs when i put her into daycare. So it wasnt her being sick, i spoke to my health nurse and she said its common and can be done for no reason.I say though speak to your health professional though as babys do experience this with reflux or colic etc.

Yeah i been burping about every 2 ounces again. he is 3months old. and i dont use a bottle if its been over a hr, i useally dont even use it if it cools down because my baby gags with cool or cold formula lol.. and yeah everything gets sterilised quite often too.

my son spit up A LOT, like all the time. do you burp every couple oz? if not try that. if your already burping every 2 oz, try ever oz. i know its a pain sometimes but sometimes that is all it takes. are sterilizing everything properly. are you using the same bottle for more then an hour?
