Hello, I am new to circle of moms, I am worried about my 6 week old boy. I had him on similac total comfort 1 and his weight gain thrived but he started vomiting, the nurse told me he had reflux and I should put him on novolac at -I have had him on it for 6 days and in a week he has only put on 60grams - with the similac he seems to pick up over 200grams a week. Not sure what to do

My friend had this issue. He was not a very good grower. Had terrible reflux, I think they called it gurd. It took them a while to find the right meds and formula for him. Good luck at the new pediatrician. Hopefully they have some different insight to add.

He is spitting up but not as much and he is eating more but not picking up weight. I have an appointment at a new paed on Monday so will see but wanted to chat to some moms who may have had this issue

Well, is he eating as much as he was? Is he still spitting up?

Thanks but I have tried him on 3 and don't want to keep chopping and changing. I want to know if anyone else has experienced a lack of weight gain either from changing formula or from novolac ar itself.

Speak with your pediatrician about your concerns. These are medical needs. They can maybe also recommend a different formula.
